ASL Numbers Worksheets for toddlers and preschoolers! Did you know that learning numbers in sign language or American Sign Language (ASL) is one of the best and fastest ways in learning a language? It’s also a great way to teach and understand the concept of numbers in Math!

Sign Language Numbers

Teaching numbers in sign language gives students a huge advantage as it’s also teaching a math skill. Since part of understanding math concepts is having the ability to quantify or measure things, ASL helps tremendously in this area. When you are performing sign language in numbers, it gives children a visual for each number.

So, when you hold up a sign for three, you hold up three fingers to see it using your eyes plus your understanding of how many objects are three, plus saying the number three allows students to hear the number too.

Having a multi-sensory approach to any new concept allows kids to soar in their learning abilities.

Numbers ASL

We recommend having students find all of the colors in the Dab and Dot Key provided at the top of each Numbers ASL Worksheet. Color each hand sign according to the correct hue. Then, they can begin! Simply start at the top and work from left to right!

Numbers in Sign Language
