Let’s face it…kids love LEGO (TM), and their love of building isn’t going anywhere, any time soon. So, why not capitalize on their engagement and build a little learning fun into your lessons this year! We’ve developed a complete program you can use with your students to increase their math and reading skills, while having fun building with blocks.
Actually, if you don’t already have a pile of LEGO (TM) in your toy closet, you don’t have to rush out to purchase this specific name brand for these activities. We’ve found the less expensive Strictly Bricks or Play Platoon bricks to work just as well, if not better. Actually, you can purchase the exact bricks we have here, and here. We’ve found these bricks to be top quality and to work interchangeably with our LEGO (TM) sets….not to mention they are much less expensive. We also purchased a set of 6.25″ square building mats. Between those three purchases we have more than enough bricks and building mats for multiple children to create to their hearts content.
